... A Brief History...
Jane Talton graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Arts in the spring of 1999 with a bachelors of fine arts.
During the past ten years, Jane has worked as a caricaturist, muralist, illustrator, and contemporary artist.
Jane has shown in galleries throughout Virginia, Maryland, Massachustts, and Maine. Her work has appeared on book covers, television, private homes, businesses, and most recently on ABC's July 2009 series Dating in the Dark. She now works as a full time artisit in her home, New Oleans La.
"I draw my ispiration from the natural world. My goal, if that's not too precise a word, is to re imagine what I see. In doing so, I create a presonal language. Im attracted to narrative, because through storytelling, the world begins to make sesnse. I've exploredthe themes of chaos in my work as the inevitable twin of order. I am constantly finding myself within the conversation of sense and non-sense."
